Staying in flow requires practice, awareness, a vision and course correction. Consciously practicing the state of flow on a daily basis must entail some combination of grounding, breathing, meditation, walks, yoga, qi gong, or anything that connects you to both Mother Earth and Divine Spirit.
Developing awareness between being in flow and being stuck can prove tricky. Realizing that we’re stuck is easier than recognizing flow. When flow happens, we can become complacent because everything is happing with ease and joy. When we’re stuck we’re “not right” and may be in pain, depressed, sarcastic, hopeless or tired.
Too often it is easier to know when we have pain than when we don’t have pain. Have you ever noticed how acutely aware you are when you have a headache and that you immediately reach to remedy that pain? Yet when was the last time you didn’t have pain and in those moments you decided to reach for the remedy to keep in you that place of peace, joy, grace, love or ease of living?
Create a daily check-in with yourself and before you head off course set up a plan to reach for those remedies or tools that you have access to maintain or course correct so that you can stay in flow. Before you can course correct you must have a vision of the life you want and deserve.
