Borrowed Energy – Borrowed Body

January 6, 2010 by Janet-Lee Halish

When I looked out into the world today, I saw that there is much confusion and chaos.  Some people have forgotten, me included sometimes, that we have borrowed both our energy and our bodies; and at some time we are required to give them back.  We come from that Divine place of God and within each of us exists a Divine God Part that allows us to be here and allows us the knowledge of how to get home again.  Most people remember that our bodies are vessels in which we live this life and that when finished we return our body to the earth.  We create, we love, we experience hate, envy, joy, happiness, disappointments and we give and we grow.   We are both yin and yang in this world. Just like a great piece of artwork on loan from one museum to another so too our Spirit/Soul are on loan from the Divine Creator.  Within our energy we each contain an original blueprint from God and that blueprint is of God.  It is the part of us that is pure and unadulterated it is our God Self.  It’s the part of us that urges us to find passion, love and understanding.  The God Self is what helps us find our way home to the God.  It is the part of us that is often buried beneath the experiences of life that have not been kind.  When the communication between the conscious and the God Self are dulled and the reception is poor, how do we uncover it and allow our spirit to soar while living here on earth?  We must get clear of the interferences of other people’s energy, the media and our own sabotaging thoughts, feelings and actions.  We must be B.O.L.D. we must Become Outstanding Living Disciples of the message of love and light.  We must shine our BOLD light wherever we go and to whomever we come into contact.  We must lead joyfully and we must honor the God Self within.  We must step over the threshold of fear so that the “God-part” of us that divine aspect who is all-things can create a better world.  I do not use the word disciple from a religious perspective but rather from the perspective of conscious knowing and understanding that we are one with each other.   To know that what I do or don’t do, has a direct effect on you and the world at large and vice versa.

Your 2nd Gratitude key

December 1, 2008 by Janet-Lee Halish

A Note from Janet

As I write this December entry from the Arizona desert, it’s snowing so hard that it’s almost a whiteout.  Reconciling the fact that only a month ago it was still over 100 degrees outside and in 10 years it hasn’t snowed here is a challenge.  The stark contrast of tumbleweeds covered in snow is both fun and confusing and it makes me want to run outside and make snow angels.  I’m sitting here grinning from ear to ear just like I did when I was a child.

I moved here to get away from the New England winters, but today I am comforted as my childlike self is excited about Christmas, friends, family and my life.

Your 2nd Gratitude Road Key: Giving & Receiving

Whatever you may or may not celebrate this time of year, I ask that you take a moment and get in touch with a time in your life when you celebrated in a childlike and joyful way.

There are others who need you to be your best right now, so that they may be energetically lifted to rise above the human consciousness of fear, lack, scarcity, anger, confusion or hopelessness that seems to abound at this time in history.  I ask you to consciously decide to freely share your abundances whatever they may be from that childlike joyful place.

This year as I’ve done other years I am spending time, money, energy, hope, joy, love and happiness to grow and improve other peoples’ lives as well as my own.  There are few things as satisfying to me as giving.  We all know that the more we give the more we receive.

Someone recently noted that it seems like I give a lot.  I would say that I give frequently – “a lot” is very subjective; and I give all year long.  When you cut off or limit the flow of giving to others, you are limiting your own abundance.

We all have a personal threshold on what, how and to whom we give.  This gentle reminder is about giving and receiving freely.

Gratitude Road Key # 2 Action Plan:

Here are 3 ways for you to keep the flow going and to assess if you’ve placed subconscious limitations on giving and receiving.

  • Increase Awareness: Be aware of your feelings, thoughts and actions when it comes to giving and receiving.  If your action is one of giving but your feeling is anxiety or fear for example then you are not giving in a way that allows for maximum flow.  Giving and receiving works like water flowing through a garden hose.  If you have a kink in the hose you will drastically reduce your flow of abundance.  Being aware allows you an opportunity to course correct by removing the kinks.
  • Let Go: You must let go of control, fear and any other negative emotion because they keep you separate from your God-Self, the most divine aspect of yourself.  Give and receive freely.  Resistance acts like a cholesterol buildup in an artery.  It can be subtle for a long time and then when enough resistance exists – it can stop you dead in your tracks.  When you let go you allow something better to come to you and you allow yourself to be more, create more and do more.

3- Pilot Your Plane:By letting go you actually get the control that you desire.   Rather than seeking control from limiting emotions such as fear, your control will come from the choices that you make from emotional spaces such as peace, joy, knowledge and love.  Like any pilot you must be calm and rely on your knowledge of what is “True” when making every decision especially emergency decisions.  What is true is not always what others have told us is true.  Is it true that the world is in crisis?  Maybe – maybe not.   When you pilot your own plane, you know what’s true because you are always in touch with your inner guidance system rather than being the passenger and allowing others to direct your life.

Last month I shared with you the importance of grounding, connecting and gratitude as part of your daily practice.  These crucial steps allow you to know whether your inner guidance system is working properly or if you have interferences that are sabotaging your efforts.  Some interferences can be so subtle that you may believe that you’re responding to truth – but part of you (a quiet voice inside) will question that something may be off in your life or that the information that you’re receiving is inaccurate at some level.

Some people are energetically aware enough to clear interferences and strengthen their connections to God and self.  Many people will require additional outside help because they have yet to be truly clear and without that initial experience of clarity it can be difficult to know when your guidance system is working properly.  It will also be a challenge for you to know if those that you rely on for guidance and counsel are themselves free and clear.

If you incorporate the insights that I share with you into your life, you will start to feel the difference between knowing truth and clarity and thinking that you know truth and clarity.

When you increase your awareness, let go and decide to pilot your own plane your god-self is most fully able to express itself.  God-self expression occurs most joyously when we are giving and receiving free of kinks, blocks and resistance.

In love and light

Your 1st Gratitude Key

October 1, 2008 by Janet-Lee Halish

All wounds occur in our spiritual body!

When we are not connected to Spirit/God/Universal Source then we are not fully able to connect to Self or Others.

Your 1st Gratitude Road Key: Being Grateful

3 Quick Tips to Being Grateful

There is no beginning or end to any of us.  Energetically we are all one.   Energy cannot be created or destroyed – it just is.  As a result, whatever one person does will affect everyone else forever.  That’s a BIG BOLD statement, but it is truth.

Once we each realize this fact and live by it, then we will see a lasting positive change for humanity.  All wounds occur in our spiritual body.   When we are not connected to Spirit, God, Divine Universal Source (they’re all the same) then we are not fully able to connect to Self or Others.

The easiest way to connect to Spirit is to be in a state of Gratitude.

Most people who practice Gratitude do so when things are going well.  The real key is to be grateful regardless of how things are going and especially during challenging times.  To be grateful when money is tight, you’ve just found out that your partner is cheating on you, your child has been diagnosed with an illness – those are the real tests of gratitude.  And it’s by practicing gratitude that you will survive those times and eventually thrive!

3 Ways to Develop Conscious Gratitude:

  1.   Daily Gratitude Practice: Spend two minutes each night before you fall asleep and think about each thing that occurred during the day.  For example, you went to work, your child came home safely from school, your car had a flat tire, you had a late start out of the house, a friend called, you forgot a doctor appointment, you made a great sale, you lost your car keys etc.

After each of these thoughts and images come to you, take a moment and think about being grateful.

Next see if you can actually “FEEL” grateful.  For some of these you’ll be able to feel gratitude, while others of these events or experiences you may be challenged to find a reason to be grateful.  Maybe it’s the thought of the flat tire that stirs every emotion but gratitude.

These are your KEY events that require attention.  Become mindful of what you think and feel throughout the day, be patient and appreciate the progress you’re making, love yourself self especially in these challenging moments when gratitude seems out of reach and equally important laugh over the silliness that something like a flat tire is getting the best of you.

Gratitude Road is the path where you’ll discover that:

  • Patience leads to awareness.
  • Awareness allows you to know the truth.
  • Truth is the key to freedom of heart and soul and opens the doors to happiness.
  • Happiness is about feeling. Feeling peace, calm, joy, optimism, being light-hearted and having an overall sense of well-being.  And knowing that you can approach all that life offers from the solid foundation you’ve built.

Find gratitude for each of the day’s events regardless of what they were.  What if your flat tire prevented you from getting a ticket when you were running late, or that while you were waiting for the tire to be changed, you had a great conversation with another customer – a stranger – someone who you may have made there day, because you could be fully in the moment.

  1.  Grounding Practice: Grounding is the practice of centering your spirit-mind-body so that you feel connected and peaceful.  Many people use meditation as a grounding practice, while others use active visualization and ground into the earth.  What is interesting about these two types of grounding is that in Mediation the grounding is directed from the mind up to Spirit while Earth grounding is directed from the feet into the core of the Earth.  Because we are built similar to a lightning rod, to be truly grounded you must ground at both ends so that you are not losing your energy.

The best and easiest way to ground is:

  • Stand shoulder width apart.
  • Focus on breathing – from the abdomen – in slow, steady breaths
  • Slightly bend knees.
  • Drop your Sacrum (hip region) toward the earth (tucking your tailbone).
  • As you inhale focus your thoughts of love and gratitude while focusing on expanding your heart and releasing the thoughts of love into your heart. Simultaneously direct those thoughts through the Crown Chakra (top of the head).  The intention is to connect upward to Spirit.
  • Next, direct your exhale and energy into Mother Earth.  Feel as if your feet are growing roots which easily travel through the many layers and anchor @ the core of the earth. Feeling this sense of grounding will improve with each session.  With each inhale increase your Love quotient, and with each exhale feel yourself relax more deeply.
  • If your mind wanders to any negative or self-sabotaging feelings, thoughts, emotions allow them to gently exit your being through your feet.
  • Take your time; stay positive, it is an easy and graceful experience.
  • If you find resistance, impatience or anything other than love and gratitude  – STOP- and try it again at another time.

With consistent practice this shift into a grateful body, mind and spirit can be accomplished in a few minutes.

  1. In Flow: Be an observer in your life.  Take notice of those moments, people, places or things that cause you to feel any emotion that is not positive or doesn’t support the “BEST YOU”.  The goal is to be “in flow”.  When you are in flow, grateful and grounded you are always connected to God, Spirit, and the Divine Universal Source.  The simple act of Awareness by itself is enough to bring about changes.  Focus your attention to replicating positive emotions in your life.

Follow these simple tips and watch your Gratitude Practice become more spontaneous.  You’ll soon feel the flow of gratitude and you’ll be connected to Spirit 24/7.

This is when magic happens in your life.

In love & light
